I approach all sessions with a healing-centred focus, beginning with a culturally aware and non-judgmental space. I offer a secure and welcoming environment that encourages you to share your experiences openly. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and the questions I ask are intended to gently explore patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to the difficulties you are facing.

 

Fundamental to my practice is the belief that you are more than what happened to you, and learning about what is going right for you is as important as understanding your challenges. Together, we will explore your thoughts and emotions while building insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Neurodivergent affirming counselling supports people to understand their unique journey of thinking and experiencing life by navigating emotional dysregulation and focusing on empowering you by building personalized strategies for daily life. Counselling can help you understand that you are not broken you just might need some strategies to manage daily stressors and other challenges.

Transitioning from a hands-on parent to a visitor in your child’s life can be challenging. Sometimes, on the journey to becoming independent, adult children create boundaries that can feel unwelcoming or rejecting. Counselling can support you in understanding how to navigate this new relationship or reconnect if your child has limited contact or become estranged.

The human body provides signals every day that influence how individuals engage with their surroundings. Tight chest, heart racing, nausea, fatigue and other signs are created to send you a message. Through counselling, you can learn to interpret the body's signals and collaboratively work towards understanding if it is a current issue or a past issue that will lead towards greater attunement between your body, thoughts and surroundings.
